Scott Douglas Wood, age 51, of Canon, passed away Thursday, March 10, 2022 at his home.
Born February 8, 1971, in Three Forks, Montana, he was a son of the late Douglas Wood and Debra Lynn (Wood) Tuck. He has worked with Ritz Instrument Transformers in Lavonia for more than ten years. He was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church in Lavonia. Scott was an avid fisherman and a member of the Savannah River Chapter of Trout Unlimited in Hartwell.
He is survived by his wife: Amanda (Owens) Wood; daughter & son-in-law: Keshia & Jad Cavendar; son & daughter-in-law: Christopher & Jennifer Owens; brother: Shawn Tuck; grandchildren: Kendra Cavendar, Justin Owens, Ashlynn Owens, Hunter Owens, Jadeyn Cavendar, and Neveah Owens; nephews: Cody Wood and Dallas Wood; and nieces: Alexandria Tuck and Ellie Tuck. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother: Christopher Wood; and grandson: Christopher Wayne Owens, Jr.
The funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, March 17, 2022 at the chapel of Strickland Funeral Home of Lavonia with Rev. Frederick McCurry and Rev. John Forbes officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday afternoon from 12:00 p.m. until the service. Mr. Wood will be cremated in accordance with his request.
