Mrs. Sheila Ann Godfrey Holcomb, age 57, of Martin, GA was called to be with the Lord Thursday, February 2, 2012 at her home.
Born July 25, 1954, in Bayonne, NJ, she was the daughter of Edna N. Godfrey and the late James Godfrey. Mrs. Holcomb was employed with Sage Automotive Interiors and was owner & operator of S & J Bargains & Collectables.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by her husband: James Holcomb of the home; siblings: Laurie Welshans, James E. Godfrey, and Sandra Pedersen; nieces: Helena Stewart, Tiffany Welshans, & Victoria Godfrey; and nephew: Chris Godfrey;step daughters: Buffy Evans & Kimberly Harrison; grandchildren: Brittany Evans & Wesley & Hunter. Harrison.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, February 4, 2012 at the Lavonia Chapel of Strickland Funeral Home with Rev. Doug Studdard and Rev. Earl Godfrey officiating burial will follow in Franklin Memorial Gardens – North. Gentlemen serving as pallbearers; Roger Welshans, Jonathan Stewart, Jimmy Godfrey, Brian Evans, Ronnie Holcomb, & Pete Pedersen.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday evening from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. At other hours the family will be at the home. Flowers are optional or memorial may be made to Odyssey Hospice.
