Sheila Davis Whisnant

Mrs. Sheila Davis Whisnant, 66, of Hartwell, passed away on Tuesday, June 30, 2026 at Prisma Health Greenville Memorial Hospital.

Born on November 25, 1959 in Nashville, TN, she was the daughter of the late Wendell Davis and Margaret Stewart. Mrs. Whisnant received her Associate’s Degree in Sonography from Greenville Tech and her Radiology Certificate from AnMed Health. She was an ultrasound technologist for Ty Cobb Health Care and the Hart County Hospital. Sheila was also a member of the Bethany Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband: Lee Whisnant of Hartwell; two sons: Jonathan Whisnant of Belton, SC, and Tyler Whisnant (Chase) of Hartwell; four grandchildren: Bradlee, Amelia, Parker, and Blakely Whisnant; one great-grandchild: Saylor Degrave; one brother: Keith Davis (Lai) of Greenville, SC; one sister: Misty Davis of Greenville, SC; a brother- & sister-in-law: Joe & Beth Whisnant of Hartwell; and two nieces: Olivia Davis and Erin Gonce. Mrs. Whisnant was preceded in death by her parents: and two brothers: Gary & Brad Davis.

The family will receive friends Monday afternoon from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell. At other times, the family will be at the home.

Mrs. Sheila Whisnant’s wishes were to be cremated and a memorial service celebrating her life will be held on Monday, July 6, 2026, at 3:00 p.m. in the Chapel of the Strickland Funeral Home with Rev. Luther Thomason officiating.

Flowers are optional, and memorials may be made to the Bethany Baptist Church Building Fund, 2085 Bethany-Bowersville Rd, Canon, GA 30520.
