Mrs. Shelby Jean Bailey Owens, 66, of 96 Bannister Drive, Hartwell, GA, died Wednesday, October 21, 2009 at Rainey Hospice House, Anderson, SC.
Born January 6, 1943 in Hart County, GA, she was the daughter of the late John Willie "Bill" Bailey and Mollie Bratcher Bailey and stepmother, Myrtice Cobb Bailey.She was retired from Bellcraft Mfg,
She is survived by:Husband, Jerry Ronnie Owens of Hartwell, GA; Sons, Michael Owens and Jeffrey Owens both of Hartwell, GA; Sisters, Amy Stone of Lavonia, GA, Brenda Kennedy of Royston, GA and Shirley Barton of Royston, GA; One grandchild, Chassidy Owens also survives.She is preceded in death by her Parents and Sisters, Montine White, Helen McLane and Novil Shirley.
Funeral Services will be held on Friday, October 23, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. at the Chapel of the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell.Rev. Ben Coleman, Rev. Johnny Stowe, Rev. David Wilson and Rev. Tommy Cleveland will officiate.Burial will be in the Nancy Hart Memorial Park.
The body is at the Strickland Funeral Home ~ Hartwell Chapel where the family will receive friends Thursday night from 7 – 9:00 p.m.The family is at the home.
