Shelton Aaron Chitwood, age 86, of Lavonia, passed away Thursday, May 9, 2024, at his home.

Born November 11, 1937, in Anderson, SC, he was the son of the late Arvin Little & Lulu (Watkins) Chitwood. He was a member of Holy Calvary MRF Church.

He is survived by his wife: Marilyn L. (Smith) Chitwood; son Keith Chitwood (Allison); nieces: Regina (Jordan) Alexander of Hartwell & Dannis (Jordan) Cox of Anderson, SC.; and several other family members. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers: Frank Chitwood, Virgil Chitwood & Lonnie Chitwood; and sisters: Ruth Chitwood, Rolvie McCollum, Geraldine Austin, Willie Brown, & Eugenia LeCoq.

A memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, May 12, 2024, at Holy Calvary MRF Church. The family will receive friends at the church on Sunday beginning at 2:00 p.m.
