Ms. Sherry Lorraine Boyd, age 57 of Statham, GA, died Tuesday, September 11, 2007 at Athens Regional Medical Center.
Born April 6, 1950, in Dayton, OH, she was the daughter of Lucy Dorgan Boyd and the late Harris Crawford Boyd. She retired from the United States Postal Service.
Survivors include mother: Lucy Dorgan Boyd and numerous cousins. She was predeceased by her father.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday, September 14 at the Lavonia Chapel of Strickland Funeral Home with the Rev. Mike Smith officiating. Burial will follow in the Lavonia City Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. The family will be at the home of Gayle Ehlers, 412 Riverbend Road – Lavonia.
