Mrs. Shirley Nell Stone Bratcher, 76, of Mt. Olivet Road, Hartwell, passed away Wednesday, May 2, 2018 in Kindred Hospice at Piedmont Athens Regional Medical Center, Athens.

Born on September 30, 1941 in Hartwell GA, she was the daughter of the late Curtis B. Stone and the Lillie Goldsmith Stone.Mrs. Bratcher was a retired Weaver for Springs Industries and a member of the Mt. Olivet Baptist Church.

Survivors include her two daughters: Joy Hix & Mark of Bowersville and Donna Thompson & Lee of Honea Path SC; three grandchildren: Sienna Beebe, Brandon Hix and Blake Hix and two sisters: Betty Vaughn of Hartwell and Edna Stone of Bowersville.Mrs. Bratcher was preceded in death by her parents; her husband: Tom Bratcher Jr. and a brother: Carey Stone.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 5, 2018 at 5:00 p.m. in the Chapel of the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell with Rev. Ken Buffington officiating.Burial will be in the Nancy Hart Memorial Park.

The body is at the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell, where the family will receive friends from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Saturday afternoon prior to the service.The family will be at the home.
