Shirley Ann Crowley Crabb, age 79, of Lavonia, passed away Wednesday, November 29, 2023, at the Clary Center in Toccoa.
Born June 8, 1944, in Atlanta, she was the daughter of the late John Harrison and Nellie Bell Johnson Crowley. She was a secretary for the US Army and was a Makeup Artist for Max Factor in Hollywood, CA. She became a stay-at-home mom for many years, before returning to work with Farm Bureau. She was phenomenal with typing and shorthand. Mrs. Crabb was a member of Poplar Springs Baptist Church. She will be remembered as a loving mom and Maw-Maw.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 34 years: Tommy Ray Crabb, Sr.; and a brother: Harry Crowley.
She is survived by her children: Nikki Crabb Babb (Brian), Nanci Crabb Fulbright (Brian), Tommy Ray Crabb, Jr. (Pam); grandchildren: Hunter Simonton (Heather), Clayton Fulbright (Stephanie), Cassady Fulbright, Bailey Babb, Camden Babb, and A. J. Babb; great-grandchildren: Haisley Simonton, Holden Simonton, Owen Fulbright, and Lincoln Fulbright; a brother: Bill Crowley; and special friend: Frank Peek.
The family welcomes friends to join them to share memories and stories of Shirley's life at 1:00 p. m. Sunday, December 3, 2023 at the chapel of Strickland Funeral Home of Lavonia. A private burial will be held at Franklin Memorial Gardens – North following the service. Visitation will begin at 12:00 p.m. The family invites friends to honor Shirley's memory by giving a donation to the North East Georgia Animal Shelter, Bear Creek Road, Lavonia, GA 30553.
