Obituary
Sara Shirley Rose (Phillips) Hendrix, age 73, of Canon, died Thursday, January 7, 2016 at her home.
Born September 18, 1942, in Madison County, she was the daughter of the late Nathan and Myrtie (Brooks) Phillips. She was a homemaker and a member of Zidon Baptist Church in Royston.
She is survived by daughters: Rachel Hendrix and Rebecca Padgett; sister: Bertie Parson; and four grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband: Henry Grady Hendrix; and two sisters.
A graveside service will be held 2:00 p.m. Friday, January 15, 2015 at Zidon Baptist Church, in Royston with Rev. Clay Huff officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the funeral home to defray funeral expenses.
