Shirley M. Lacy, 82, of Emory Drive, Hartwell, passed away Tuesday, June 19, 2018 at her home.

Born on December 3, 1935 in Lavonia GA, she was the daughter of the late Boyd D. Lacy and Lyford Burgess Lacy.Shirley was a retired billing clerk for the Hartwell Company. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Hartwell, Bonds of Love Sunday School Class and a former Sunday school teacher for the children's department and choir member.She also was a substitute teacher for the Hart Co. School System.

Survivors include one brother: Dedrick Lacy; and one sister: Shelby Lacy both of Hartwell.

Funeral services will be held Friday, June 22, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell with Dr. Hugh Kirby officiating.Burial will be in the Nancy Hart Memorial Park.

The body is at the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell, where the family will receive friends from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. Friday afternoon prior to the service. The family is at the home.Flowers optional, memorials may be made to First Baptist Church of Hartwell, Children's Department, 81 E. Howell Street, Hartwell, GA 30643.
