Mrs. Shirley Ann Welborn Osborne, 58, of 197 Crawford's Ferry Road, Hartwell, died Tuesday, August 9, 2011 at Hart County Hospital.

Born on June 23, 1953 in Royston, GA, she was the daughter of Sara Haygood Welborn Williford and the late Rufus O. Welborn.She was a second grade teacher at South Hart Elementary School, a former member of the Red Hats, and a member of the Reed Creek Baptist Church.

She is survived by her mother: Sara Welborn Williford; her husband: Keith Osborne of the home; two sons: Ben Osborne and his wife, Leanne, and Josh Osborne and his wife, Natasha, all of Hartwell; one daughter: Regina Mize and her husband, Greg, of Royston; four brothers: Howard Welborn of Hartwell, Charles Welborn of Hartwell, Ronnie Welborn of Royston, and Larry Welborn of Toccoa; one sister: Margaret W. Turpin of Statum, GA; and four grandchildren: Stone Osborne, Slate Osborne, Kylie Osborne, and Bo Osborne. Mrs. Osborne was preceded in death by her father.

Memorial services will be Friday, August 12, 2011 at 4:30 p.m. at Reed Creek Baptist Church with Rev. Sam Dulaney and Rev. Chris Prittchet officiating. The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 6:00-9:00 p.m. The family is at the home.In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made out to the Shirley W. Osborne Scholarship Fund c/o First Citizens Bank.
