Mrs. Shirley Gaines Robertson, 82, of Hartwell, passed away Saturday, June 17, 2023 at Hartwell Health & Rehab.

Born on July 15, 1940 in Hartwell, GA, she was the daughter of the late Kermit Gaines and Mary Adams Gaines. Mrs. Robertson was a retired manager of the shoe department for Wal-Mart, and a member of the Abundant Life Baptist Church, where she was a member of various groups and committees.

Survivors include her son: Terry K. Robertson (June) of Royston; daughter: Phyllis R. Brown (Kenny) of Hartwell; four grandchildren: David Brown (Elizabeth), Megan Dalton (Cody), Zackery Robertson, Kaitlyn Robertson; and four great grandchildren: Jaxon Brown, Riley Brown, Kensley Dalton, and Gage Dalton. Mrs., Robertson is preceded in death by her parents; husband: Harold Leon Robertson; brother: Robert K. Gaines; and sister: Dorothy Harvell.

The family will receive friends Wednesday morning from 9:30 to 11:00 a.m. at the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell.  Other times the family will be at their respective homes.

Funeral services for Mrs. Shirley Robertson will be held Wednesday, June 21, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell with Revs. Ken Brewer and John Mitchell officiating.  Burial will be in the Memorial Garden of Prayer.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to one's local animal shelter.
