Obituary
Ms. Shirley Joyce Waldrep Seay, age 72 of 154 Plum Branch Road, Hartwell, Ga., died Saturday, August 9, 2008 at her home.
Born July 3, 1936 in Gainesville, Ga., she was the daughter of the late Martin Houston Waldrep, Jr., and Ione Geneva Crumley Waldrep. She was a pet groomer and former owner of Shirley's Smart and Sassy Pups. She was a member of the Abundant Life Baptist Church.
She is survived by: sons, Neil Seay of Pensacola, FL, Dr. Paul Seay and Eddie Seay of Hartwell, Ga., daughter, Jennifer Lubeski of Acworth, Ga., brother, Phillip Waldrep of Hogansville, Ga. Fifteen grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren also survive. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Jerry Waldrep.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, August 12, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. from the Hartwell Chapel of Strickland Funeral Home. Rev. Ken Brewer and Rev. Terry Meeks will officiate. Graveside services will follow at 3:00 p.m. from the Memorial Park Cemetery in Gainesville, Ga.
The body is at the funeral home, where the family will receive friends from 7 to 9 Monday evening. The family will be a the home.
