Mrs. Shirley Ann Hessinger Sullivan, 76, of 10565 Hwy 59, Lavonia, died Wednesday, July 6, 2011 at Athens Regional Medical Center.
Born on May 20, 1935 in Allentown, PA, she was the daughter of the late Edward Hessinger and Mary Gutleber Hessinger. She was a homemaker, a member of the Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church, and a member of the Catholic Blue Army in Brandon, FL.
She is survived by her husband: Robert D. Sullivan; three sons: Richard Sullivan of Lavonia, Scott Sullivan of Lavonia, and Pat Sullivan of Plant City, FL; one daughter: Stephanie Krupa of Valrico, FL; one brother: Edward Hessinger of Ft. Myers, FL; two sisters: Marianne Dranow of Westlake Village, CA, and Constance Callahan of Greenback, TN; fourteen grandchildren; and two great grandchildren. Mrs. Sullivan was preceded in death by her parents.
A memorial mass will be held Thursday, July 14, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church. Visitation will follow the service at the church.Special memorials may be made out to St. Jude's Children's Hospital, 501 St. Jude's Place, Memphis, TN 38105, c/o Memorial/Honor Program.The family is at the home.
