Mrs. Shirley Shaw Vickery, 78, of Canon, passed away Wednesday, August 17, 2022 at her home.

Born on September 13, 1943 in Hartwell, GA, she was the daughter of the late Joseph H. Shaw and Elizabeth Jones Shaw. Mrs. Vickery was the co-owner and bookkeeper of Vickery Auto Parts and a member of the First Baptist Church of Hartwell.

Survivors include her son: Gary Vickery (Rita) of Hartwell; three grandchildren: Amanda Brown (Kyle), Justin Vickery, Ally Vickery; and one great grandchild: Kyson Brown. Mrs. Vickery was preceded in death by her parents; husband: Shelton Vickery; and brother: Jerry Shaw.

The family will receive friends Friday afternoon from 12:30 to 2:00 p.m. at the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell.  Other times the family will be at their respective homes.

Funeral services for Mrs. Shirley Vickery will be held Friday, August 19, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell with Rev. Terry Meeks and Rev. Todd London officiating. Burial will be in the Nancy Hart Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church of Hartwell, 81 E. Howell St, Hartwell, GA 30643 or Cornerstone Baptist Church, 1543 Anderson Hwy, Hartwell, GA 30643.
