Mrs. Shirley Payne Womack, 71, of 1459 Whippoorwill Trail, Hartwell, GA, died August 14, 2006 at her home.
Born March 6, 1935 in Franklin County, GA, she was the daughter of the late Ferd Payne and Tensie Bell Whitworth Payne.She was retired from the Hartwell Company as a Customer Service Supervisor.She was a Franklin County High School Alumni, a member of Cedar Creek Baptist Church, and a former member of Indian Creek Baptist Church.
She is survived by:Husband, Dan H. Womack of the home; Sons, Steve Womack of Hartwell, GA, Brian Womack of Hartwell, GA and Jeff Womack of Grayson, GA; Daughter, Angelia Dalton of St. Mountain, GA; Sisters, Susie Clark of Douglasville, GA, Lutrelle Segars of Alpharetta, GA, Majell Walters of Alpharetta, GA and Virginia Cowan of Dawsonville, GA; 13 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren also survives.She is preceded in death by Parents; Son, Lee Womack; Daughter, Susan Marie Womack; Brothers, William, Dallas, Nado and James Payne.
Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, August 17, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. from the Chapel of the Strickland Funeral Home, Hartwell, GA.Rev. Doug Brown and Rev. James Sexton will officiate.Burial will be in the Memorial Garden of Prayer.
The body is at the Strickland Funeral Home where the family will receive friends Wednesday night from 6 to 8 p.m.The family is at the home.Flowers are optional; memorials may be made to Hart County Relay for Life, 1610 Lightwood Road, Hartwell, GA30643.
