Mrs. Sondra L. Starky Neil, 69, of 20 Golden Oaks Dr., Hartwell, Ga., died Wednesday, November 21, 2007 at Lake Pointe Assisted Living Center.

Born April 21, 1938 in Roane County, W. Va., she was the daughter of the late Harry Starky and Irene Argrbrite Starky. She was a former school teacher and a housewife. Sondra was a member of the Hartwell First United Methodist Church.

She is survived by: her husband, James F. (Jim) Neil of the home, son, James Todd Neil of Lawrenceville, Ga., and a daughter, Barbara Ann Whiteside of Suwannee, Ga., sister, Bonita Anderson of Belpre, OH. Grandchildren surviving are, Zachary Whiteside, Meghan Neil and Abby Neil.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 24, 2007 at 7:00 p.m. from the Hartwell Chapel of Strickland Funeral Home. Dr. R. Allen Stewart will officiate. Cremation will follow the service.

The body is at the funeral home, where the family will receive on Saturday, November 24 from 6:30 p.m. until the funeral hour. The family will be at the home.
