Ms. Sonja Diane Sanders Holland, 76, of Hartwell, passed away Monday, March 4, 2024 at Piedmont Athens Regional Hospital.

Born on August 5, 1947 in Royston, GA, she was the daughter of the late Milton Sanders and Susie Rice Sanders Yearwood.  She was a retired beautician and a member of the Reed Creek Baptist Church.

Survivors include three sons: Wendell Holland of Canon, Dennis Holland and Dale Holland both of Hartwell; one sister: Linda Baker of Pendleton SC; three grandchildren: Avery, Alana and Ethan. Ms. Holland is preceded in death by her parents and one sister: Martha Byrum.

The family will receive friends Friday from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m. at the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell. Other times the family will be at their respective homes.

Funeral services for Ms. Sonja Holland will be Friday, March 8, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. in the Chapel of the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell with Rev. Luther Thomason officiating. Ms. Holland wished to be cremated following her service.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Hart County Humane Society, PO Box 1062, Hartwell, GA 30643.
