SPC Brad Daniel Seawright, US Army, 28, of 2590 Whippoorwill Trail, Hartwell GA, died Saturday, August 1 in Anderson Co. SC

Born on May 23, 1981 in Augusta GA, he was a member of the US Army Reserves 289th Corps Support Det.He was employed by S & S Construction and was a member of the Good Hope Presbyterian Church of Iva.He served two tours in Afghanistan, where he received a Purple Heart, the Army Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Afghanistan Campaign Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Army Service Ribbon and an Army Achievement Medal.

Survivors include his parents, Ronnie and Phyllis Wiles Seawright of Hartwell; wife, Beth Harris Seawright of Hartwell, two daughters, Rylie Elizabeth Seawright and Peyton Danielle Seawright both of the home; two brothers, Ronnie Keith Seawright and Charles Bryan Seawright both of Hartwell; a sister, Dana Michelle Pastor of Anderson SC; maternal grandmother, Bobbie Porter of Iva SC also survives.SPC Seawright was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Charles Waymon Wiles and paternal grandparents, Charles and Cleora Seawright.

Funeral services will Thursday, August 6 at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell with Rev. R.C. Oglesby, Chaplin Thomas Paul Townsend and SSG Jeff Duncan officiating.Burial will be in the Iva City Cemetery, Iva SC with full military honors.

The body is at the Strickland Funeral Home ~ Hartwell Chapel, where the family will receive friends from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. Wednesday night.The family is at the home of Ronnie and Phyllis Seawright, 2818 Whippoorwill Trail, Hartwell.
