Stanley Webster Sheppard, 60, of Lavonia, GA, went to be with his Lord and Savior Friday night, March 9, 2012 after an extended illness.
He was born in Norwalk, OH, to David and Ester Sheppard on August 14, 1951. He was an over the road truck driver and owner of his own trucking business, Stanley Sheppard Trucking Service (S.S.T.S.). Stanley loved being in his truck more than anything.
He is survived his wife: Tamara (Martin) Sheppard; children: Angel C. Magness and husband Brian, Gered B. Sheppard and wife Jennifer, and Rustinia S. Downing and husband David; stepchildren: Tiffany Barkdoll Shawn, and Tara Thompson; siblings: Elissa Biller, Leslie Sheppard and wife Jessie, Carissa Baazt, Midge Sheppard, Cassandra Hyde and husband Bobby, and Elaine Cline and husband Eric; and eighteen grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife: Dawn Ghrist Sheppard; brother: Russel Sheppard; daughter: Jeanine Hardy and grandson: Robert Cook.
Mr. Sheppard's wishes were to be cremated. The family will hold a private memorial service at the home at a later date.
