Mr. Stephen T. Johnson, 78, of Hartwell, passed away Saturday, August 10, 2024 at AnMed Medical Center in Anderson, SC.

Born on August 21, 1945 in Anderson, SC, he was the son of the late Joel T. Johnson and Eleanor Putnam Johnson. Stephen was the owner/operator of Johnson Farms where he started out row cropping, then transitioned to poultry and cattle farming. He was also a member of the Cedar Creek Baptist Church. Stephen loved dirt track racing, farming, cows, tractors, his '64 Chevrolet Impala, music & dancing, and most of all his family.

Survivors include his wife: Carolyn McCurley Johnson of Hartwell; son: Eric Johnson (Danielle) of Hartwell; daughter: Stefanie Johnson of Hartwell; three brothers: Milton Johnson, Alan Johnson (Dee), and Tracy Johnson (Robin), all of Hartwell; and three grandchildren: Breanna Wood (Joseph), Tanner Johnson, and Sarah Johnson.

The family will receive friends Tuesday, August 13, 2024 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell. Other times the family will be at the home.

Funeral services for Mr. Stephen Johnson will be held Wednesday, August 14, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. at the Cedar Creek Baptist Church.  Burial will be in the Cedar Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.
