Mr. Stephen Francis Patterson, Sr., age 69, of 195 Murray Avenue, Hartwell, GA, died Tuesday, December 8, 2009 at his home.

Born September 3, 1940 in Wilmington, DE, he was the son of the late Raymond Francis Patterson and Margaret Mary Bacon Patterson. He has an AS in Engineering from the University of Delaware – 1962; Semi retired from CFI as a Production Engineer.He was a member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church; Knights of Columbus and various church committees and served in the U.S. Army, 1959 ~ 1962.

Survivors include:Wife, Jo Ann Harper Patterson of the home; Sons, Stephen F. Patterson, Jr. of Lakewood Ranch, FL and Dan Patterson of Spring Hill, TN; Daughters, Paula Patterson of Martin, GA and Valerie McGehee of Hartwell; Brothers, Philip Patterson of Newark, NJ and Michael Patterson of Wilmington, DE; Sisters, Bernardine Coleman of Elkton, MD, Mary Ann Nolan of New Castle, DE, and Kathleen Barbee of Los Angeles, CA; Sixteen grandchildren and one great grandchild also survives.He is preceded in death by: Parents and Brothers, Raymond Patterson and Eugene Patterson.

A Memorial Mass will be held on Friday, December 11, 2009 at 12 noon at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church.Father Terence Kane will officiate.
