Steven Kennedy Deal, age 57, died in his home in Hartwell, GA during the first week of May, 2022.

Steve was born on February 5th, 1965 in Orange County, CA, but was adopted by Tom Deal and Louise Kennedy Deal and raised in Greenville, South Carolina. He is pre-deceased by his mother, Louise.

Steve attended Wade Hampton High School. He was an auto mechanic in his youth but ended up being a fine carpenter. Still his mechanic skills were such a part of him and he was a tinkerer all of his life. He loved to cook and enjoyed doing so for friends and family. He was the life of the party and often drew laughter from everyone around him. He was just a funny guy. As his daughter, Ashley said, "He was a rolling stone."

Steve is survived by 3 daughters, Amber Elizabeth Waggoner, Rachael Victoria Engle and Ashley Nicole Deal; Sons-in-law, Stephen Brent Waggoner and Jacob Oliver Engle; 9 grandchildren and his brother and sister-in-law, Roger Dale Kennedy and Kimberly Pierce Kennedy.

Family and friends will be honoring Steve with a Low Country Boil Memorial gathering on Saturday, May 21st at 12:00 noon at the Greenville Shrine Club, 119 Beverly Rd., Greenville, SC 29609.When you come up the stairs at the front door, go straight into the dining room from the lobby.
