Obituary
Mr. Lonnie Stephen "Steve" Keller, 77, of Hartwell, passed away Thursday, March 4, 2021 at Prisma Health Greenville Memorial Hospital.
Born on November 17, 1943 in Greenwood, SC, he was the son of the late James Latimer Keller and Elizabeth "Lib" Moss Keller Beech.Mr. Keller was a retired machine operator for Owens Corning Fiberglass of Anderson.
Survivors include his daughter: Michele Risner (Danny "Goob") of Hartwell; special friend: Jackie Roper Keller of Hartwell; three sisters: Dot Hyde of Shelby, NC, Brenda Campbell of Shelby, NC, and Ann Stewart of Georgetown, SC; one grandchild: Sandi Jones (Matt); and four great-grandchildren: Kelcey Bowen, Kenslee Bowen, Aiden Bowen, and Rylan Bowen. Mr. Keller is preceded in death by his parents; a son: Stevie Keller; a brother: James Keller; a sister: Stella Baber; and a grandchild: Tonya Hamm.
Because of the current conditions concerning the health and well-being of our community, the family will not be having a formal visitation.They ask that everyone keep them in their thoughts and prayers in the coming days and weeks. Graveside services for Mr. Steve Keller will be held Monday, March 8, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at the Nancy Hart Memorial Park with Mr. Fred Greenway officiating.Everyone will be asked to practice Social Distancing and may want to bring a lawn chair.
The Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell is in charge of all arrangements.
