Mr. Stephen Michael "Steve" O'Brien, 74, of Bowman, passed away Wednesday, January 15, 2025 at his home.

Born on October 20, 1950 in Independence IA, he was the son of the late Louis John O'Brien and Lorraine Barbian O'Brien.  Steve was a former machine operator with Springs Industries and a cattle farmer. He was a US Marine Veteran.  He loved his animals, cows and loved being outdoors.

Survivors include his wife: Kathy O'Brien; one son: Trevor O'Brien (Stormy) of Lavonia; one brother: Danny O'Brien (Diane) of Ocala FL; and one sister: Susie Roscovious (Gary) of Independence IA.  Mr. O'Brien was preceded in death by his parents; one son: Ricky Colbert; two brothers: Donnie O'Brien, Jim O'Brien; one sister: Patsy Bass; and one niece: Hailey O'Brien.

Steve wished to be cremated and a memorial service will be held at a later date by his family.
