Obituary
Mr. Henry Steve Shirley, 66, of McDuffie Road, Bowersville, passed away Monday, January 18, 2016 at St. Mary's Sacred Heart Hospital.
Born on February 22, 1949 in Seneca, SC, he was the son of the late Boyd C. Shirley and Annie Julia Cheek Shirley.Mr. Shirley was a retired supply supervisor with Milliken and a member of the First Baptist Church of Hartwell.
Survivors include his wife: Ruth A. Shirley of Bowersville; one brother: Roger Shirley of Lavonia; one sister: Elaine Donald of Anderson and several beloved nieces and nephews also survive. Mr. Shirley was preceded in death by his parents and one sister: Margaret Burdette.
A celebration of Steve's life will be held at a later date.
The family is at the home.In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to defray funeral and medical expenses.
The Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell is in charge of all arrangements.
