James Steven "Steve" Vaughn, age 66, of Lavonia, passed away Thursday, June 6, 2024, at his home.

Born November 27, 1957, in Royston, he was the son of the late Jack and Dorothy "Dot" (Harris) Vaughn. He was owner and operator of 2 businesses, Premier Dealer Transfer and Broad River Guns & Ammo. Steve was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church in Bowman.

He is survived by his daughter: Tiffany Vaughn; grandson: Wyatt Vaughn; brother & sister-in-law: Jack & Judy Vaughn; niece: Kelly Wills; and a nephew: Scott Vaughn.

A memorial service will be held at 5:00 p.m. Thursday, June 13, 2024, at the Chapel of Strickland Funeral Home of Lavonia with Lt. Col Retired Jeff Freeman. The family will receive friends on Thursday beginning at 4:00 p.m.
