Mr. Stephen Ray "Steve" Yadon, 73, of Petersburg Road, Elberton, passed away Saturday, October 24, 2015 at Hart Care Center.

Born on June 3, 1942 in Louisville KY, he was the son of the late Reed Yadon and Eva Broadway Yadon.Mr. Yadon was a U.S. Army veteran, member of the American Legion and of the Catholic Faith.

Survivors include his daughter: Terrie Callaway and her husband Chris of Hartwell; a son: James Kelly Yadon of Leesburg FL and three grandchildren: Derek Callaway, Devan Callaway and his wife Lindsey and Lauren Callaway.Mr. Yadon was preceded in death by his parents and a brother: Dewayne Yadon.

Memorial services will be Tuesday, October 27, 2015 at 5:00 p.m. in the Chapel of the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell with Dr. Allen Stewart officiating.

The family will receive friends from 4:00 to 5:00 p.m. Tuesday afternoon.The family is at the home of Terrie and Chris Callaway, 118 Ellen Street, Hartwell.In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Heart Association, 1720 Epps Bridge Pkwy, Athens GA 30606.
