Stevie Wayne Michael II

Stevie Wayne Michael, II, age 51, of Lavonia, passed away on Tuesday, June 2, 2026, at his home in Lavonia. Born on April 2, 1975, Stevie was the beloved son of Stevie Wayne Michael, I and Nancy Ruth Martin.

Despite facing the challenges of being quadriplegic, Stevie never allowed his condition to define him. He was known for his unwavering kindness and readiness to lend a helping hand whenever needed. Stevie’s heart was filled with love, especially for his granddaughters, and he treasured every moment spent with his family.

Stevie’s spiritual life was a cornerstone of his existence. His days were enriched by prayer and the uplifting melodies of gospel music, which brought him peace and joy.

He leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories with his children: Hayley Barrett (Dylan), Stevie Michael (Hannah), and Chris Michael (Melissa). His grandchildren, Layne Massey, Kendra Barrett, Kayden Michael, Paislee Michael, Kaydence Michael, and Emerson Michael, were the light of his life. He is also survived by his sister, Dyann Michael.

A memorial service to honor Stevie’s life will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 6, 2026, at the funeral home chapel, with Rev. Mickey Umbehant officiating.
