Mrs. Sue Osborne Bray, 87, of Hartwell, passed away Tuesday, January 16, 2024 at Hart Care Center.

Born on October 30, 1936 in Hartwell, GA, she was the daughter of the late Joe E. Osborne and Audrey Nell Reed Osborne.  Mrs. Bray was a retired medical clerk at Whitworth Detention Center. She was a member of the Reed Creek Baptist Church and the Red Hat Society.  She also loved to travel.

Survivors include her daughters: Margo Fleming (Kenneth) of Dewy Rose, Angie Brown (Tim) of Hartwell, Renee Burgess (Chuck) of Hartwell; two brothers: N.S. Osborne (Phyllis), Tony Osborne both of Hartwell; three sisters: Claudette Crawford of Anderson, Mickey LeCroy (Larry) of Tignall, Betty Tise of Hartwell; seven grandchildren: Stephanie McElduff (Mike), Aubrey Dickerson (Chas), Samantha Skelton (Sam), Amelia Cazalas (Torrey), Betsy Brown, Brady Burgess (Carolyn), Jared Burgess (Abby); nine great grandchildren: Lake Dickerson, Harper Dickerson, Hayes Dickerson, Tess McElduff, Margo McElduff, Jackson Skelton, Grady Skelton, Theo Skelton,  Felix Cazalas, Brayden Wood and Baylor Wood. Mrs. Bray is preceded in death by her parents; her husband: Jerry T. Bray and one sister: JoAnn Sanders.

The family will receive friends Friday, January 19, 2024 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell. The family will be at their respective homes.

A Celebration of Life for Mrs. Sue Bray will be Friday, January 19, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. in the Chapel of the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell with Rev. Michele May officiating.  Burial will be in the Reed Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.

Flowers are optional, and memorials may be made to the Sardis Baptist Church Pre School, 4359 Anderson Hwy, Hartwell, GA 30643 or to a charity of one's choice.
