Nancy Sue LeCroy Cole, age 75, of Canon, passed away Thursday, January 6, 2022 at her home following an extended illness.
Born April 12, 1946, in Hartwell, she was the daughter of the late Andy & Mozelle (Crowe) LeCroy. Before retirement she worked as an LPN and later as a Respiratory Therapist with TY Cobb Memorial Hospital. She is remembered as a star basketball player during her high school years. Mrs. Cole was a member of New Franklin Christian Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son: Brian Cole; and a sister: Barbara LeCroy
She is survived by her husband: Jerry Cole; daughter: Sherri Craft; sons: Benji Cole and Ken Bailey; grandchildren: Brandy Jordan, Blake Craft, Drew Cole, Haley Cole, Gabby Cole, Payton Saxon, Riley Messer, R.J. Bailey, Crystal Bailey, Cahlyn Cole, and Cahsi Cole; brother & sister-in-law: Danny & Tammy LeCroy; niece: Krista LeCroy; and several great grandchildren also survive.
The funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, January 10, 2022 at New Franklin Christian Church with Pastor Carl Beckham and Barry Thornton officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Flowers are optional or memorial donations may be made in memory of Sue Cole to Five Area Fire Department 10 Burroughs Road Canon, GA 30520.
