Mrs. Sue Gunter Dutton, 76 of Rice Mill Road, Hartwell, passed away Tuesday, September 19, 2023 at her home.

Born on February 2, 1947 in Pickens SC, she was the daughter of the late William Carl Gunter and Ila Bray Gunter.  Mrs. Dutton was a retired machine operator with Tenneco Automotive Equipment Company and a member of Price Chapel Church of God.

Survivors include her one daughter: Donna Sue Stone of Hartwell; one son: Jack Dutton III of Hartwell; six grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.  Mrs. Dutton was preceded in death by her parents; her husband: Jack Fred Dutton Jr; daughter-in-law: Darby Dutton; two brothers: JC Gunter, Tommy Gunter; three sisters: Peggy Owens, Carolyn Medkief and Barbara Gunter

A private memorial service will be held at a later date by the family.

The Strickland Funeral Home and Cremation Services of Hartwell is in charge of all arrangements.
