Obituary
Mrs. Sula Sanders Wood, 67, of Bowersville, died Monday, August 29, 2011 at Athens Regional Medical Center.
Born on September 16, 1943 in Hart County, Georgia, she was the daughter of the late George C. Sanders and Ruby Adams Sanders.She was retired Department Manager at Wal-Mart of Hartwell and was of the Baptist Faith.
She is survived by her son: Benjie Wood of Bowersville; daughter: Pamela Wood Wieller and her husband, John K. Wieller, of Bowersville; two granddaughters: Jorden Lee Wieller of Milledgeville and Sarah Lane Wieller of Bowersville; two brothers: Verdell Sanders and Wayne Sanders, both of Hartwell; and two sisters: Geneva Suddeth of Kennesaw and Shirley Moon of Hartwell. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband: Joe Frank Wood; brother: James Huel Sanders; and her sister: Edna Payton.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, September 3, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. in the Cross Roads Baptist Church with Rev. Ben Coleman officiating.Burial will follow in the Cross Roads Baptist Church Cemetery.
The body is at the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell where the family will receive friends from 12:00-1:30 p.m. Saturday prior to the service.The family is at their respective homes.Floral arrangements are optional and special memorials may be made to offset medical bills.
