Obituary
Susan Elaine Carithers, 60, of Murray Ave., Hartwell, passed away Wednesday, January 6, 2016 at Gentiva Hospice in Athens.
Born on August 14, 1955 in Chicago, IL, she was the daughter of the late Marlin V. Carithers and Helen Jennie Kucik Carithers.Susan worked in quality control with Hollander Bedding.She was a world traveler, loved animals, participated in numerous charities and was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include one brother: Steve Carithers and his wife Diane; and one sister: Shirley Carithers all of Hartwell.Ms. Carithers was preceded in death by her parents.
Memorial services will be Saturday, January 9, 2016, 2:00 pm in the Chapel of the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell with Rev. John Silver officiating.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. Saturday prior to the service.The family is at the home.Memorials may be made to World Vision, P.O. Box 51399, Jerusalem 91513 VIA Israel for child ID# JWG186U66-3UUU.
