Mrs. Susie Ann Payne Roberts, 69, of 2192 Bowman Hwy, NW, Dewy Rose GA, formerly of Folkston, GA, died Wednesday, February 7 at Athens Regional Medical Center, Athens GA.

Born on February 20, 1937 in Amissville VA, she was the daughter of the late James Milton Payne and Ada Geneva Putnam Payne.She was a retired hospital cook and of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include two daughters: Patricia Herrera of Richmond VA and June Knight of Dewy Rose GA; a brother: Alvin Payne of Bordentown NJ; three sisters: Irene Pittman of Richmond VA, Bertha Marshall of Warrenton VA and Elizabeth Putnam of Orange VA; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren also survive.She was preceded in death by her husband: Charles Edwin Roberts; a brother: Delbert Payne and two sisters: Virginia Frazer and Viola Heflin.

Funeral services will be Saturday, February 10 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of the Bliley Funeral Home, Richmond VA with burial in the Riverview Cemetery, Richmond VA.
