Mrs. Susie Partain Sanders, 71, of 937 Tranquility Lane, Hartwell, died Tuesday, February 26, 2013 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center in Gainesville.

Born on May 23, 1941 in Hartwell, GA, she was the daughter of the late Homer Lee Partain and Elvea Wright Partain.She was retired from Hart Care Center where she worked as a bookkeeper and was of the Baptist Faith.
Survivors include her husband, Harvey Joe Sanders of the home; one son, Michael Sanders and his wife Susan of Hartwell; one brother, Terrell Partain of Hartwell; three sisters: Jeraldean Senkbeil, Brenda Mitchell, Sheryl Robinson all of Hartwell; two grandchildren: Leslie Sanders, Mary Beth Lott and her husband Kyle; three great-grandchildren: Julian Cleveland, Riley Cleveland and John Luke Lott.Mrs. Sanders was preceded in death by her parents; and two sisters: Virginia Goddard and Louise Posey.

Funeral services will be Thursday, February 28, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell with Rev. Doug Brown officiating.Burial will be in the Nancy Hart Memorial Park.

The body is at the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell, where the family will receive friends from 12:30 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. Thursday prior to the service.The family is at the home of Mike and Susan Sanders, 154 O'Conner Lane, Hartwell.
