Mr. Talmadge Lamar Garrett, age 88, of Lavonia, passed away Thursday, March 27, 2025, at his home following an extended illness.

Born February 17, 1937, in Maysville, GA. He was the son of the late Methel and Lucille Garrett. He earned his college degree and put it to good use as an engineer with Micro-Meretics. Mr. Garrett was a veteran of the US Air Force and was a member of Maysville Methodist Church.

He is survived by children: Linda Kay Wise, Elizabeth Suzette Hamilton (Paul); grandchildren: Mark Paul Kroncke (Gina), Rebecca Ruth Sidore, Michelle Yvonne Hall and Aaron Lamar Hamilton; seven great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife: Vivian Ruth (Thacker) Garrett and a son: Stephen Wayne Wise.

Mr. Garrett will be cremated in accordance with his request. The family will hold a private service to celebrate his life.
