Mr. Eugene Talmadge Hembree, 75, of 2754 Anderson Hwy, Hartwell, died Tuesday, December 29, 2009 at his home.

Born March 27, 1934 in Hart County, GA, he was the son of the late Columbus C. Hembree and Nettie Parker Hembree. He was retired from Michelin Tire Corp as a Fork Lift Safety Officer. He was a member of Sardis Baptist Church, former Sunday School Teacher, former worker with VBS, and former owner/operator of T & S Greenhouse.He was also a U.S. Army Korean War veteran.

He is survived by:Wife, Syble Worley Hembree of the home; Brother, James H. Hembree and his wife Mary of Hartwell, GA; Sister, La Don Hix and her husband Lemuel of Hartwell, GA; Special children, Pam & Bob Bowers, Jeff Worley, Roger and Kellie Worley; Special Brother in law and sister in law, Aaron & Barbara Worley of Hartwell and a sister-in-law, Helen Hemby of Calhoun GA.He was preceded in death by his Parents; Brothers, Carey and Ray Hembree; and Sisters, Lenora Majeski and Lois Boggs.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, January 2, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at the Chapel of the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell.Rev. John Silver will officiate.Burial will be in the Nancy Hart Memorial Park.
