Mr. George Talmadge Lewis, age 68 of Lavonia, peacefully passed away at his home on Saturday, August 14, 2021. He was a good man, and will be missed by all those who loved him dearly.

Talmadge was born on April 30, 1953 in Royston, Ga. to the late Boyd Lewis and Louise Carter Lewis. He was preceded in death by his brother Tony Lewis. Talmadge worked in construction, loved playing pool and visiting with his friends.

He is survived by his wife, Faye Lewis; children, Chris (Christy) Lewis, Hollie Lewis Baird (James "Bill" Smith), Craig (Kristen) Lewis, Chase Lewis, four grandchildren with another on the way and brothers; Freddie Lewis and Ronnie Lewis.

Talmadge was cremated. His services are provided by his children and will be held at Strickland Funeral Home of Lavonia on Wednesday, August 18th at 5:30 pm. with Rev. Bert Synan officiating.The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 4:00 p.m. until the service.
