Mr. Talmadge R. Patten, 81, of Mt. Olivet Road, Hartwell, passed away Wednesday, August 12, 2105 at Hartwell Health & Rehab.

Born on December 1, 1933 in Royston, GA, he was the son of the late Benjamin Patten and Roxie Payne Patten.Mr. Patten retired from Glen Raven Mills after 45 years of service.He was a US Army veteran serving in Germany and of the Baptist Faith.

Survivors include one sister: Patsy Bailey and her husband Kenneth of Hartwell and several nieces and nephews.Mr. Patten was preceded in death by a special friend Elizabeth Stovall and several brothers and sisters.

Funeral services will be Friday, August 14, 2015 at 4:00 pm in the Chapel of the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell with Rev. Jason Webb officiating.Burial will be in the Nancy Hart Memorial Park.

The body is at the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell, where the family will receive friends from 3:00 to 4:00 p.m. prior to the service.The family is at the home of Patsy and Kenneth Bailey 3760 Mt. Olivet Road, Hartwell, GA.
