Ms. Tammie LaJean Sheriff, 54, of Carnesville, passed away Thursday, April 25, 2024 at Piedmont Athens Regional Hospital.

Born on May 19, 1969 in Toccoa, GA, she was the daughter of Raymond Stansell and the late Shirley Sheriff Ankerich. Ms. Sheriff was an office worker for Altium Packaging in Atlanta, and was of the Baptist faith. She also loved to crochet and loved her granddaughter.

Survivors include her father: Raymond Stansell of Carnesville; her son: Cruz Womack of Lavonia; brother: Scottie Stansell of Hartwell; two sisters: Tabitha Hill of Carnesville, and Angie Lunsford of Homer, GA; and her granddaughter: Kenslee Womack. Ms. Sheriff is preceded in death by her mother & step-father: Shirley & Doug Ankerich.

A service to celebrate the life for Ms. Tammie Sheriff will be held Saturday, May 11, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell. The family will receive friends following the service.

The Strickland Funeral Home and Cremation Services of Hartwell is in charge of all arrangements.
