Mr. Ted Martin White, Sr., age 68, of 1492 Shoal Creek Road, Lavonia, died Saturday, August 25, 2007 at his home.
Born May 19, 1939, in Franklin County he was a son of the late Edrew Columbus and Annie Lee Martin White. Mr. White was owner and operator of Sharp Kut Saw Company. He was a veteran of the Army Reserves with eleven years of service. Mr. White was a member of the Providence United Methodist Church and was a member of the Homebuilders Sunday School Class.
He was predeceased by his parents and a son Phillip Michael "Mike" White.
Survivors include wife of 50 years: Marylina White; sons: Ted Martin "Marty" White, Jr. and John Mark "Johnny" White of Lavonia; son and daughter-in-law Joseph Beasley "Joey" and Wanda White of Lavonia; daughter and son-in-law Laurie Lynn and Dan Bailey of Lavonia; brother: Doug White of Hartwell; brothers and sisters-in-law Howard and Dannie Sue White of Martin and Tommy and Linda White of Lavonia; 10 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren also survive.
The family is at the home and will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday from 7:00 – 9:00 p.m.
Celebration of life services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, August 28, 2007 at the Lavonia Chapel of Strickland Funeral Home with Rev. Doug Brown officiating. Burial will follow in the Providence United Methodist Church Cemetery.
