Mr. James Terrell Fleming, 62, of Hartwell, passed away Friday, October 23, 2015 at Athens Regional Medical Center.
Born on January 17, 1953 in Anderson SC, he was the son of Modena McCurley Fleming and the late James Roger Fleming.Mr. Fleming was Owner / Operator of Scooters & Small Engines from 1981 to 2002 and a former member of the Hart County Fire Department, Central Station.He loved fishing, was a member of Trout Unlimited and was a founding member of the Savannah Valley Chapter.He was a loving and devoted family man as well as a member of the Bethany Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife: Helen Taylor Fleming; his mother: Modena M. Fleming; his son: Jake Fleming and his wife Sherri of Hartwell; his daughter: Erin F. Gaines and her husband Kevin of Royston; his grandchildren: Tayler Johnson, Emmie Fleming, Peyton Gaines and Riley Gaines and his two brothers: Jeffrey Fleming and his wife Shawna of Hartwell and Michael Fleming of Pendleton SC.
Funeral services will be Monday, October 26, 2015 at 4:00 P.M. at the Bethany Baptist Church with Rev. Jerry Durham and Mr. Fred Greenway officiating.Entombment will be in the Memorial Garden of Prayer.
