Terry Garner of Hartwell, GA passed away Sunday, April 20, 2014. Terry graduated from the University of Georgia class of 1968. He was a member of Phi Kappa Tau Fraternity. He received his MBA from Mercer University. He was employed until retirement by Verizon Wireless in Atlanta. He was treasurer of the Hart County Golden K.

Terry is survived by his wife of 41 years, Kathy, two sons Jason and Brendan, daughter in-law Stephanie, granddaughters, Taylor Kate and Ava and sister Josie Smith.He is preceded in death by his parents Willard and Jane, brother Pete and sister Frances.A memorial service will be held Saturday, April 26, 11am at St. Andrew's Episcopal Church, 579 Fairview Ave, Hartwell, GA. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be sent to St. Andrews Episcopal Church, the Golden K Ramp Project, P.O. Box 832, Hartwell, GA. 30643 or The Hart County Humane Society, P.O. There will be visitation with family and friends, Friday, April 25, from 6 - 8 pm at Joseph A. Strickland Funeral Home, 305 Cleveland Ave., Hartwell, GA 30643.
