Obituary

Mrs. Thelma Evans Fain, 87, 412 Powderbag Rd, Hartwell, died Friday, November 12 at Hart Co. Hospital.

Born on September 22, 1923 in Hartwell GA, she was the daughter of the late S.T. Evans and Ossie Jordan Evans.She was a homemaker and a member of the Oak Bower Baptist Church.

Survivors include two sons, William Fain and Louie Fain both of Hartwell; five daughters, Mary Jo Dutton of Canon, Nancy Ankerich of Bowersville, Peggy Cawthon, Joyce Woodall and Linda Farmer all of Hartwell; a sister, Judy Cobb of Anderson SC; 22 grandchildren, 38 great-grandchildren and 15 great-great grandchildren also survive.Mrs. Fain was preceded in death by her husband, Guy Fain Sr. and a son, Guy Fain Jr.

Funeral services will be Sunday, November 14 at 1:00 p.m. in the Chapel of the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell with Rev. Tommy Cleveland and Mr. Tony Fowler officiating.Burial will be in the Nancy Hart Memorial Park.

The body is at the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell, where the family will receive friends from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Saturday night.The family is at the home of Mr. & Mrs. William Fain, 20 Water's Edge Dr., Hartwell.
