Mrs. Thelma Graham Norment, 83, of Melody Lane, Hartwell, died Friday, May 2, 2014 at her home.

Born on April 19, 1931, in Knoxville, TN, she was the daughter of the late Branch Whitten and Thelma Gunter Whitten.She attended the Hartwell First United Methodist Church.She also was a member of the Hartwell Garden Club, Alpha Delta PI, Hart County Hospital Ladies Auxiliary and Cateechee Ladies Golf Association.

Survivors include: five sons: Landis Graham of Richmond VA, Craig Graham of San Diego, CA, Daniel Graham of Souderton, PA, Frank Graham of Spartanburg, SC and Christian Graham of New York, NY; one sister: Annabel Woodall of Memphis, TN; and six grandchildren.She was preceded in death by her first husband: John H. Graham and her second husband James W. Norment; one brother Dr. Joel B. Whitten.

Memorial services will be Wednesday, May 7, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at the Hartwell First United Methodist Church with Dr. Allen Stewart officiating.Burial will be in the Nancy Hart Memorial Park.The family will receive friends after the memorial service at their home.
