Mrs. Thomas Watson Brown, age 88 of 45 Cayuga St., Hartwell GA, died Saturday, April 19, 2008 at his home.

Born on March 14, 1920 in Hart Co. GA, he was the son of the late Donald Eugene Brown and Pearl Hicks Brown.He retired from Hartwell Garment Co. after 46 years of service.He was a volunteer fireman for many years and a member of the Hartwell Church of God.

Survivors include his wife of 70 years: Helen Byrum Brown of the home; two daughters: Mary Frances Beard and her husband Frank and Joyce Myerholtz and her husband Jimmy both of Hartwell; a sister: Annie Mae Duck of Clayton; three half-brothers: Dalton Brown and Gene Brown of Florida and Johnson Brown of LaGrange GA; four grandchildren: Clifford Beard, Michelle Buchanan, Annette Wicker and Grant Myerholtz; six great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild also survives.He was preceded in death by a grandson: Richard Beard.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, April 22 at 4:00 p.m. in the Chapel of the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell with Rev. Johnny Stowe, Rev. Grant Myerholtz and Rev. Wayne Durden officiating.Burial will be in the Nancy Hart Memorial Park.

The body is at the Strickland Funeral Home ~ Hartwell Chapel, where the family will receive friends from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Monday night.The family is at the home.
