Mr. Thomas Marion Seawright Jones, 77, of Hartwell, passed away Friday, December 13, 2024 at his home.

Born on August 11, 1947 in Anderson, SC, he was the son of the late Joe Seawright and Jane Sorrells.  Mr. Jones was a retired telephone technician for AT&T with 39 years of service, and he was a member of the Cokesbury United Methodist Church. He was also US Marine Corp. veteran having served in Vietnam.

Survivors include his wife: Louise Jones Seawright of the home; one son: Steven Seawright (Ashley) of Canton, GA; three daughters: Kelli Gerkin (Matt) of Woodstock, GA, Jill Barrow (Leland) of Athens, GA, and Stephanie Loya (Estaban) of Surprise, AZ; two sisters: Pat Moorhead of Hartwell and Mary Helen Denham of Watkinsville; one brother: David Seawright of Arnoldsville, GA; and seven grandchildren.

It was Mr. Jones' wishes to be cremated and there are no formal services planned at this time.

The Strickland Funeral Home and Cremation Services of Hartwell is in charge of all arrangements.
