Obituary
Mr. Thomas L. Murray, 83, of South Forest Ave, Hartwell, passed away Wednesday, November 24, 2021 at his home.
Born on April 3, 1938 in Toccoa GA, he was the son of the late Ralph L. Murray and Etta Anderson Murray.He was formerly employed at Hartwell Mills and L.H.P. Mfg. and attended the Hartwell Church of God.
Survivors include two brothers: Danny Murray (Ann) of Hartwell and Jerry Murray of Toccoa; four sisters: Bea Collins of Columbia SC, Rose Kesler of Toccoa, Louise Rudeseal (Rev. Robert) of Cornelia and Kathy Richardson (Tommy) of Hartwell and numerous nieces and nephews also survive.Mr. Murray was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers: Albert Murray and Robert Murray and a sister: Maudie Sue Elrod.
It was Thomas' wish to be cremated and a memorial service celebrating his life will be held at a later date by his family.
The family is at their respective homes. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Hartwell Church of God, 120 Race Street, Hartwell GA 30643.
The Strickland Funeral Home and Cremation Services of Hartwell is in charge of all arrangements.
