Obituary
Mr. Charlie "Thomas" Pilgrim, 85, of 921 Liberty Hill Road, Hartwell, GA, died Thursday, November 30, 2006 at Cobb Memorial Hospital.
Born June 7, 1921 in Franklin County, GA, he was the son of the late Charlie Pilgrim and Winnie Franklin Pilgrim.He was formerly employed by Suit's Garage was retired from Hart County School System after 17 years of service.He was a member of Middle River Baptist Church, and was a U.S. Army WWII Veteran and served in the European Theater.
He is survived by his Wife, Willie Mae Sanders Pilgrim of the home and a sister, Mattie Hilley of Royston, GA.He was preceded in death by parents, brothers, Grady Pilgrim and J.T. Pilgrim and a sister, Mary Lou McCollum.
Funeral Services will be held on Sunday, December 3, 2006 at 4:00 p.m. from the Chapel of the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell.Rev. Chris Pritchett will officiate.Burial will be in the Nancy Hart Memorial Park.
The body is at the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell where the family will receive friends Saturday night from 7 to 9:00 p.m.The family is at the home of William and Carol Pilgrim, 2217 Baker's Bridge Road, Royston, GA.The family request no flowers and memorials may be made to the Charity of One's Choice.
